Some Simple Rules To Go By To Build Your MSP.
Basics for every MSP, regarding your employees. — Most people really do want to be accountable for their actions. Whether you know this or not, most people really do strive to be the best they can be. It’s in our nature. But, sadly, there are some who don’t. And if any of your employees are amongst these, cut them loose, let them go. You’ll be happier, and so will they.
In the words of Stephen Covey there are some basic ground rules for accountability, and you should look for them in your employees.
- Never allow committees, or groups of people to be accountable for making things happen (or not happen).
- Ensure only one employee is responsible and accountable for making things happen.
- Make sure only one employee is responsible and accountable for each key assignment.
- If this person fails to get things done, give them something else to do, and replace them with someone else who is more capable.
Sorry Stephen. In all due respect, we believe there’s more to accountability. There’s capability. Build your MSP business on accountability and capability and you’ll always succeed!
