When United States Veterans Initiative, the largest non-profit organization in the United States, was looking for a solution to provide secure access to centralized data on servers in their corporate office, Core Technology Partners was the right IT company for the job.
United States Veterans Initiative, the largest non-profit in the U.S. with 11 facilities nationwide, provides support services for military veterans, including counseling, case management, job placement, employment services, and drug & alcohol-free housing to assist struggling vets who have served our country.
The Situation: A Lack of Cost-Effective, Secure Access to Centralized Data on Servers in the Corporate Office
United States Veterans Initiative has 11 locations nationwide, from Washington DC to Hawaii; so telecommunications on an MPLS network was too costly to maintain. The non-profit initiative was looking for a cost-effective solution to provide secure access to centralized data, which resides on servers in the corporate office located in downtown Los Angeles.
The Resolution: A Solution Designed for Faster Communications Without Sacrificing Security and Redundancy
Core Technology Partners designed a new global WAN network using cloud managed enterprise class firewalls, which would support multiple carrier connections for redundancy. Core Technology Partners used local carriers in each locations area to build out a secure private telecommunications network that centralized to a data center in Santa Ana, CA.
Once the project was complete, United States Veterans Initiative was able to:
- Achieve a higher degree of fault tolerance, speed, and redundancy compared to the pre-existing MPLS network.
- Ensure fast and secure communications at a fraction of the cost of their pre-existing MPLS network.
- Put the savings towards their initiative to help support our veterans.
