20 Years Of IT Services In Colorado Springs
This year, Blake Schwank and Colorado Computer Support are celebrating 20 years of service and dedication to their customers and the Colorado Springs community.
Colorado Computer Support was founded in May 2001 with a driving force to enhance the productivity and efficiency of their clients through Information Technology. In their 20th year of providing Colorado Springs IT services for an ever-growing network of clients, CEO Blake Schwank takes a look at what that experience is really worth.
The Early Years of Colorado Computer Support in Colorado Springs
At the age of 35, Blake started the business with his wife, with the idea that a business would be created and then sold. As the years rolled by, Blake discovered that he had skill and passion for Information Technology, along with the right team. Since its beginnings, CCS has helped put the Colorado Springs businesses to work while striving to make a lasting impact on the lives of their clients, employees, and the community.
In that time, the IT industry has undergone incredible changes: client needs have changed, technology has evolved, and new innovations and ideas continue to emerge on a daily basis. The thing that has remained constant? The people. Just like the businesses and organizations they serve, CCS is built on the foundation of relationships. With that in mind, this year is not just a celebration of Colorado Computer Support's history, it is a celebration of everyone who has made this possible: clients, customers, partners, and employees.
All things considered, the world of IT is fairly new. When you compare the IT industry to other industries of the same size, the world of IT is not long removed from its infancy stage. What started out as an industry that was focused mainly on repairing computers and other devices after they broke has transformed into a comprehensive managed service industry. However, it is still fairly new, and it continues to evolve.
Transitioning From Break/Fix to Managed Services
CCS transitioned from Break/Fix to MSP 13 years ago, after finding it difficult to maintain pace with the ever-evolving IT industry. Blake stated, ''We started switching to the MSP model because we did it Break/Fix with basic tools. We tried to do things with basic tools and we tried to do things inexpensively, thinking that was the right way to do things, and it wasn't.'' Blake talked about forming partnerships with advisors, coaches, and other businesses to learn more about running a business and making adjustments along the way.
Gaining Experience In The IT World
Experience matters in the IT world, and the experience Blake and the CCS team have gained over the years has allowed them to continuously perform effective and efficient IT services for 20 years. What makes their IT services so effective?
- Knowledge of new technologies and the capability to adjust to new technologies
- The ability to adapt and evolve service offerings and solutions that capitalize on current and future trends
- The ability to prepare for advancement and development and get ahead of them
For the most part, these may all sound like qualities you would find in an IT services company that has been in business for less than 20 years. At a certain point, most people would make an assumption that IT companies that have been in operations for over 20 years would not have the flexibility and the adaptability to keep up with changing technology trends. Well, we all know what happens when we make assumptions?
Working With An Experienced Colorado Springs IT Provider
The CCS team is proud to be celebrating their 20th year in business – they are even more proud of their ability to deliver high-quality services. There are key reasons why working with an experienced IT provider like Colorado Computer Support is the right choice:
CCS Understands It's About People
While CCS understands how critical technology is, they have been around long enough to know that at the foundation of the IT industry, the quality of their service offerings comes down to their customer service. Delivering IT solutions is not a challenge. Yes, it takes experience, knowledge, and a specific skillset, these factors are only one part of the process. It goes beyond making sure servers are configured properly and network signals are strong. Blake and the CCS team have always understood how important it is to pay attention to the people who are depending on that technology. That's part of delivering efficient and effective IT support. Colorado Computer Support clients work with them – and continue to work with them – because they answer when they are called upon. Colorado Computer Support finds high-quality and long-lasting solutions to client problems. CCS has delivered top-notch customer service for 20 years.
Business Experience Is Vital
Over their two decades in business, CCS has gained a wealth of experience – in IT and with people. As critical as their knowledge of IT is to the services they provide, their business acuity is just as critical. Understanding what a business or organization needs and the challenges that can arise every day, helps Blake and the CCS team to better match the right services to their clients' challenges. Both in their own business struggles in the earlier years, and those they have addressed for their clients over 20 years, Blake and the CCS team have gained indispensable knowledge that applies to IT services and support.
We have talked about how important it is for IT service providers to capitalize on trends for the benefit of their clients. The IT industry is filled with new developments, and each new development can be beneficial to businesses and organizations. On the other hand, there are also developments that will not be beneficial. This is where experience comes into play. With 20 years of business under their belt, Colorado Computer Support is able to tell the difference in what trend or new development will be beneficial to the client's specific needs.
Blake is proud to have made it to 20 years of service, and he acknowledges that he has valued clients and a skilled team to thank for that.
